If you do, Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) may be for you. To perform optimally, female and male bodies need testosterone and thyroid hormone; females also need estrogen and progesterone. Renewed Health Clinic uses hormone pellets, placed under the skin, to help create a balance of the naturally occurring hormones that may have been depleted by aging, certain health conditions and the Standard American Diet. Progesterone capsules and natural thyroid medication may also be used.
How does Renewed Health Clinic determine if you may benefit from hormone pelleting?
Through blood work and a diagnostic survey of symptoms you may or may not be experiencing.
Our Nurse Practitioner carefully monitors lab results as well as how your body is responding to the hormones, to determine the optimal amount your body needs to function well and feel good.
The process begins with:
Thorough Initial History & Lab work + Consultation ($149)
World-Class feedback so you have a plan of action
If Hormone Pelleting is deemed right for you by our medical practitioner, you get:
Female hormone pelleting is $335; Male pelleting ranges $650-$750
Females need pelleting every 3-4 months; Males need pelleting every 5-6 months
Pelleting patients get 10% off any practitioner-recommended supplements
Follow-up labs (after 4 weeks) for $75
What does Bio-Identical mean?
It means the pellets contain hormone which mimic (are bio-identical to) the effects of hormones in your body. These hormones used in these pellets naturally occur in plants and are safe as well as easily bio-available for your body.
Are there other types of Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Pellet Therapy?
There are several methods of delivering bio-identical hormones to your body. You can apply:
Each of these “solutions” has its issues, they:
- Require constant maintenance
- Require you to remember to do something every day
- Can be messy
- Aren’t even guaranteed to work
Is the pelleting procedure painful?
Our Nurse Practitioner, who is trained in BHRT through Evexias Evexipel, will prepare the hip area for pelleting by numbing with shots of a local anesthetic. The shot may sting a bit. After the numbing effect has taken place, you will only feel some pressure during the pelleting. The procedure takes about 5 minutes for females and 10 minutes for males (who generally require more pellets.)
How long does each pelleting last?
Women usually need pelleting every 3-4 months. Men usually need pelleting every 5-6 months.
Previous Lab Work
It’s common to hear, “I have all the symptoms of imbalanced hormones, but my lab work came back “within normal range.” Can you help me?
Chances are, if you continue to experience symptoms of imbalanced hormones, we can help you. First, let’s talk about “normal ranges” in lab work.
There is not a medical standard for testosterone “ranges,“ as the labs decide what the ranges are based on their clients ages 18 through 80.
The lower end of the spectrum is usually the 80 year olds and the higher end of the spectrum is the 18 year old. So coming “within normal ranges“ means you could have the hormone levels of an 80 year— and that’s not healthy for a 40 year old. )
